Hey parents! Guess what. Sister Mukonda and I taught 18 discussions this past week. Crazy, huh? We worked really hard,
and it payed off.
We also have two people who have committed to baptism, so we are excited for that. They are both young women, and they
are both so fun to visit with. Their
names are Amanda and Nondumiso. Nondumiso is a single mother who is dating the father
of her little girl.
Amanda is a young woman who is currently unemployed, but going to school. She lives with her mother. We met with her
mother while teaching Amanda the second discussion, and she seems nice, she even sat through most of the discussion,
but then had to leave. She seemed interested in what we had
to say, but we are not sure exactly how she feels about the
church. At least she is letting Amanda take the discussions.
Nondumiso is very excited about the church and actually came to church on Sunday. She actually told us that she
couldn't wait for Sunday to come. At that time we invited her to come I think it was Friday, so I kind of chuckled because
Sunday really wasn't far off. It was so awesome to see how excited she was about the gospel though. I just hope and pray
that satan won't come in and interfere.
Oh, and one other thing about Nondumiso. She has friends whom Sister Mukonda and I have contacted also, and who are investigating
the church. After church in Sunday we were in the area walking to a teaching appointment when we ran into Nondumiso and her
friend Thandoxolo. We had met with him about two weeks ago and seems intersted in learning more about the gospel.
Well,Nondumiso had told Thandxolo how much she enjoyed church and how she wanted to go back. Now he too is excited
to find out what it is about church that she likes so much. Isn't that so cool?
I gotta tell you. I LOVE MISSIONARY WORK! It is so exciting and fun.
Well I have tons more to tell you, but I
have to go. I will write you again soon and tell you more. I love very much, and I thank God for you everyday.
You are the best parents ever for helping me and supporting me in my decision to serve a mission. I can't wait to show
you and tell you all my wonderful experiences.
Love, Sister Crawford
